Job Summary:

Practice Lead

Insurance Services

Job Title: Practice Lead — Insurance Services

Location: Global / India

Department: Delivery Organization

Reports To: Head of Delivery / Transformation Office

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Practice Lead to architect and deliver next-generation, agentic, customer-centric solutions within the Insurance Services domain. The role sits within the delivery organization with dual responsibilities: strengthening the solutions organization, and partnering with the transformation office to translate customer problem statements into deployable agentic solutions, in close collaboration with customer stakeholders.

The role demands a hybrid leader — part process architect, part business strategist, part technologist — who can re-imagine insurance processes through the lens of agentic frameworks and orchestration, while remaining commercially grounded. In a world where information is becoming abundant and AI can summarise, compare, and explain faster than ever, judgment is the differentiator. The Practice Lead must be able to zoom in like a specialist (to the process step, data field, agent behavior, and integration contract) and zoom out like a generalist (to the operating model, strategic intent, and business outcomes) — and translate between the two.

The Mindset We Are Hiring For

Go deep enough to find the truth. Step back far enough to see the pattern. Connect the two well enough that something actually changes.

Specialists who stay too narrow understand the detail but miss the system. Generalists who stay too shallow see the system but miss the real problem. The people who matter most are the translators — those who connect process to platform, data to decisions, AI to adoption, operations to customer experience, and execution to measurable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

1. Process Architecture for Agentic Solutions

  • Serve as a process architect, redesigning end-to-end insurance processes (Underwriting, Claims, Policy Servicing, Billing, Reinsurance, etc.) to be agent-ready — decomposing workflows into tasks that can be orchestrated across human and AI agents.
  • Define agent orchestration patterns, decision points, human-in-the-loop checkpoints, exception handling, and guardrails for safe, auditable automation.
  • Lead client consulting engagements focused on process re-imagination — discovery workshops, current-state diagnostics, target-state blueprints, and value cases for agentic transformation.
  • Establish reusable process design artefacts (process maps, agent task taxonomies, capability models, control libraries) that accelerate future client engagements.
  • Apply the discipline that AI layered on a broken workflow only makes the confusion faster — fix the process design before scaling the agents.

2. Agentic Automation Deployment Framework

  • Bring a strong business mindset to envision, design, and institutionalize an agentic automation deployment framework — covering opportunity identification, prioritization, build, deploy, scale, govern, and measure.
  • Define the operating model, roles, RACI, KPIs, and benefits-realization mechanisms that allow agentic solutions to be deployed predictably across multiple clients and geographies.
  • Translate business outcomes (loss ratio, combined ratio, NPS, cycle time, FTE leverage, straight-through processing) into agentic design choices and ROI cases.
  • Build the playbook for scaling agentic deployments — from pilot to production, including change adoption, risk, compliance, and model governance considerations.

3. Solution Strengthening

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of customer-focused solutions across insurance and related domains.
    • Own the end-to-end solutioning process, including: Understanding domain-specific needs and tailoring solutions accordingly.
    • Responding to RFPs with detailed solution architecture, agentic value propositions, and commercial models.
    • Creating proactive proposals that address emerging or latent business needs through agentic and AI-led approaches.
    • Preparing and delivering presentations, demos, and oral defenses for senior stakeholders.
    • Ensure solutions are technically sound, scalable, compliant, and aligned with the client’s transformation roadmap.

4. Operational Consulting

  1. Act as the translator between business and technology — converting ambiguous client problem statements into structured, deployable agentic solutions, and explaining technical choices in business language.
  2. Demonstrate the ability to zoom in (process step, data attribute, agent prompt, integration contract) and zoom out (enterprise operating model, strategic intent, business case) within the same conversation.
  3. Connect, as a translator: process to platform, data to decisions, AI to adoption, operations to customer experience, and execution to measurable business outcomes.
  4. Lead transformation initiatives by contributing domain, process, and agentic expertise.
  5. Guide teams on solution feasibility, agent design, orchestration patterns, model selection, and responsible-AI implementation.
  6. Stay current with industry trends, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies — particularly LLMs, agentic frameworks, RAG, tool-use, and orchestration platforms.

Key Skills & Competencies

Domain & Functional Expertise

  • Deep understanding of the Insurance Services domain, including Life, P&C, Health, and Reinsurance processes across the full value chain.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into process, data, and agentic design decisions.

Process Architecture & Agentic Design

  • Proven experience as a process architect, redesigning processes for automation and now for agentic orchestration.
  • Working knowledge of agentic frameworks, multi-agent orchestration, tool-use, human-in-the-loop design, and guardrails.
  • Ability to decompose business outcomes into agent tasks, data dependencies, decision points, and control mechanisms.

Business & Commercial Mindset

  • Strong commercial acumen — able to envision and shape an agentic automation deployment framework that is repeatable, scalable, and measurable.
  • Comfortable building business cases, pricing models, and ROI narratives for agentic transformation programs.

Translator Capability — Zoom-In / Zoom-Out / Judgment

  • Comfortable looking closely like a specialist and stepping back like a generalist in the same conversation.
  • Connects process to platform, data to decisions, AI to adoption, operations to customer experience, execution to outcomes.
  • Treats judgment — not information — as the differentiator; knows when to dig, when to step back, and when to act.

Solutioning & Consulting

  • Proven experience in solution architecture, RFP responses, and proposal development for transformation deals.
  • Strong presentation and storytelling skills for client orals, executive briefings, and demos.
  • Ability to design scalable, reusable, and value-driven solutions.

Technical Acumen

  • Familiarity with agentic frameworks, LLMs, RAG, automation, analytics, AI/ML, and digital platforms.
  • Understanding of integration patterns, APIs, event-driven architectures, and cloud technologies.
  • Awareness of responsible-AI, model governance, data privacy, and insurance-regulatory considerations.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to lead virtual teams and influence without authority across multiple geographies.

Project & Change Management

  • Proficiency in agile and waterfall methodologies; comfortable with iterative agentic delivery.
  • Experience in change management, adoption planning, and benefit realization for AI-led transformations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, Information Technology, or related field.
  1. 15+ years of experience in solutioning, consulting, or transformation roles, with at least 5+ years in the Insurance Services domain.
  2. Demonstrable experience designing and deploying process automation and/or agentic AI solutions in an enterprise context.
  3. Proven track record of working with global teams across multiple geographies.
  4. Experience in client-facing roles, managing senior stakeholders, and delivering large-scale transformation programs.
